Takwa ruin Swahili Settlement of Lamu Archipelago

Description
English: Takwa, a Swahili settlement on Manda Island in the Lamu archipelago. The Island grown in the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries. Takwa is important not only because of its period of occupation but also because of its dense settlement and relatively well preserved remains. Takwa National Monument is open daily to the public and is a very pleasant place for a casual visit.
