English: Staff Sgt. Martin Williams (left), an intelligence analyst from Portsmouth, Va., and Capt. James Guggenheim (right), from Denver, salute during Williams' re-enlistment ceremony at Joint Security Station Sadr City, June 1. Both Soldiers are assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 2nd Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division. According to Williams, who has been in the military for six years already, he re-enlisted for a choice of duty station in England, additional college and a tax-free bonus. "I get paid to do it and see new things," said Williams about his job. "Also, I advance in my job set while taking advantage of school; [Army career counselors] look out for you." |
