فارسی: تخت سلیمان جایگاه مهمترین آتشکده دوره ساسانیان یعنی آذرگشنسب در شمال شرقی شهرستان تکاب و شرق تخت سلیمان در جنوب شرقی استان آذربایجان غربی قرار گرفته است. تخت سلیمان بزرگ‌ترین مرکز آموزشی، مذهبی، اجتماعی و عبادتگاه ایرانیان قبل از اسلام بوده اما در سال ۶۲۴ میلادی و در حمله هراکلیوس، امپراتور رومیان، به ایران تخریب شد. آثار باستانی این مجموعه و دریاچه جوشان آن، روی صفحه ای سنگی و طبیعی قرار گرفته که از رسوبات آب دریاچه به وجود آمده است. قدمت این منطقه از لحاظ سکونتگاه انسانی به ۳ هزار سال پیش باز می گردد.تخت سلیمان به عنوان چهارمین اثر ایران سال ۸۲ در میراث جهانی یونسکو به ثبت رسید.بخش طبیعی مجموعه تخت سلیمان متشکل از یک کوه آهکی است که در قله آن، چشمه بسیار بزرگی وجود دارد. این کوه در طول هزاران سال در اثر رسوبات آهکی موجود در آب چشمه فوق شکل گرفته است. امروزه تخت سلیمان را خطر ویرانی تهدید می‌کند. |
