Description Arriving from Wangjiakou the Taiping rested a couple of days at Shuoheng, around 35 miles from Duliu, when the Qing caught up with them and encircled the town. After being besieged by about a month (Feb 9 to Mar 7 1854) they manage to break out and continued their retreat. From Ten scenes recording the retreat and defeat of the Taiping Northern Expeditionary Forces,February 1854-March 1855.
