English: Russian stampless folded domestic letter sent from Таганрог / Taganrog to Odessa. Reverse 'TAGANROG 1845 FEB 25' double ring, three line date cancel, manuscript '24' kopecks rate.

Details:

  • February 25 (Julian) 1845 letter posted. Post office placed handstamp 'TAGANROG 1845 FEB 25' postmark at reverse. Taganrog was part of the Yekaterinoslav Government post office.
Dobin: Mariupol 14.2.15 type 1.02. Used between 1828 and 1847, rarity 4.[1]
  • Notation '24' kopecks rate.
