  • Cropped, low-resolution image of a colourized photo from the March 1938 edition of "Art in the Third Reich" (German: Die Kunst im Dritten Reich), the NSDAP's monthly art magazine published in Nazi Germany 1937–1944
  • This photo shows the "Night Float" (Wagen der Nacht), a group of a parade called "2000 Years of German Culture" (Zweitausend Jahre deutsche Kultur). This colourful and imaginative pageant (Festzug) was held during the "Day of German Art" (Tag der Deutschen Kunst), a Nazi propaganda celebration in Munich, Germany on July 18, 1937, before the opening of the "Great German Art Exhibition" (Die Große Deutsche Kunstausstellung) in the new "House of German Art" (Haus der Deutschen Kunst). The parade was a pompous pageant that combined historical cliches and Nazi symbolism.
