Description

Kejimkujik National Park, Nova Scotia. Kejimkujik Lake viewed from Jim Charles Point. 2009 was a time in which I was much more reckless in the pursuit of the perfect photo: I slid down a steep, forested slope from the campground, easily 150 feet (45m) down, and stopped myself just before plunging feet-first into the water. When I took this photo, I was holding my camera with one hand while grasping a tree tightly with my opposite arm to keep my footing. After climbing back to the top, I met two ladies who told me they'd heard some tree branches snapping and were about to call for help because they assumed someone had fallen into the lake.
