Description

Shelburne County Museum, Shelburne, Nova Scotia. "Shelburne's Black Heritage". For whatever reason, a lot of the escaped American slaves who made their way to Canada on the Underground Railroad ended up in Nova Scotia. To this day, there's still a decent-sized African-Canadian community in Halifax.
