Description

Personally, when I edit images, I never try and change the way the model looks. I won't smooth skin, unless it is absolutely necessary, and I won't clone areas out if I don't think they look right. Getting your composition right in camera is what counts and if you have to spend that much time making an image 'right', then the image probably isn't good enough to start with and you should revisit it. So when I do add a little bit of Lightroom Love to an image, it tends to be centred around the colour scheme of the image, the overall feel. I like vintage colours, so I tend to inject a little bit of yellow and green into the highlights, blues into the shadows. This to my mind does not change the way the model looks, but rather it changes the overall feel of the image.


So for this tutorial, I am going to show you how I achieve what can best be described as that dreamy, Sunday morning style. You know the kind I mean. Cute girl, lying in bed with some diffused, mid-morning sunshine pouring in through the window. There is a feeling of warmth to the image, a slight haze surrounding it, but not stripping the scene of detail. Its one of my favourite feels to an image and I think its worth sharing.
