Original caption: "Also shows T. & Y.R.R. #153, right of centre. Date Created year approximate for 1939? Salmon's print inscribed on vso (referring to car left of centre): Toronto & York Radial #152 taken while awaiting demolition at Howard Park yards / about 1938. The T.T.C. considered cars #151 to 155 in excellent condition & had / them rehabilitated & placed on T.T.C. ga. trucks when taken over in 1927.

Description	Canadian photographer, designer, writer and collector Salmon was a prolific amateur photographer, and collector of photos. His widow eventually sold his collection of 15,000 images to the Toronto Public Library. The images were mainly of public works, historic buildings, or were related to transit.
