[edit]- This is a photograph of Crimson Rose, Pachliopta hector, a beautiful butterfly of the Swallowtail family (Papilionidae) native to India. It shows the UP side markings very clearly.

Mimicry
[edit]- The genus Pachliopta represents the Red-bodied Swallowtails which are inedible due to the choice of their larval foodplants. Accordingly they are mimicked by some inedible butterflies.
