Summary

English: Tournai, —31 rue des Sœurs Noires (31 Black sisters street)— This house with its neighbours of 35 and 33 was built at the end of the 17th century and rises on two levels of two bays on a fitted base. The homogeneity of the façade is conferred by the continuous bands connecting the lintels and thresholds of the bays as well as by the old yellow plaster that covered it. The windows have kept their mullion (transom bay), cross strut, and crossover (first floor bays) under a brick discharge arch. An acute gabled roof, with a gabled dormer window, surmounts the house.
