English: Facades, frames and roofs of the houses located at Quai Notre-Dame, n°39 and rue de l'hôpital Notre-Dame, n°s 1-3-5-7.
The corner house and those on rue de l'hôpital Notre Dame have two levels, four bays on the quay side and fifteen bays, one of which is blind on the rue de l'Hôpital Notre Dame side; all on a fitted base, pierced with rusticated bays. The entire building is covered by an open tiled roof with four hooded hipped dormers with wooden fins for three of them. This part of the city has a succession of houses built between 1680 and 1685, during the rectification of the quays by Louis XIV. Adopting the Louisquartorzian style, they are characterized by an alternation between stone (at the level of the frames of the openings and the bands) and brick (for the sills, overmantels and entablatures) as well as by their very geometric aspect. The horizontality is underlined by bands that run along the entire façade and extend the lintels of the windows. The verticality is accentuated over the entire height of the façade by the pedestals[or jambs] of the windows.
