Description
Français : TOMBA CAPRARA, opera di Giacomo De Maria del 1817 circa. Chiostro III, Cimitero monumentale della Certosa di Bologna. Il monumento si ispira a quello dedicato a Maria Cristina d’Austria di Antonio Canova. Sulla destra, presenta la figura seduta dell'Eternità velata, con il simbolo dell'ouroboros. A sinistra la figura della Pietà Filiale, accompagnata da un genio funebre che tiene un rametto di cipresso. Per questo monumento composito De Maria privilegia il marmo, materiale raro in Certosa.
