Summary

[edit]
Description
English: These are characters I made to represent hexadecimal numbers. The idea was to make a set of characters that:
•Were all exactly 4*4 pixels
•Were all distinct from each other no matter their rotation, as well as horizontally symmetrical
•Were constructed using an intuitive pattern based on binary
•Looked good (admittedly subjective)

The bottom portion of the image (ordered left to right, top to bottom) includes suggestions for how they could be handwritten, designed so that they are distinct even when written badly. The top portion shows the components that correspond to each binary digit, with the dots under the characters representing the binary itself (red = 1, green = 2, blue = 4, white = 8).

A set of duodecimal characters created as an accompaniment can be found at commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:TKAT Duodecimal Characters.png.
