Description
English: This aircraft was delivered to British Airways as a 'combi' passenger/freighter in Feb-87 as G-BDXM and operated with them until it was sold to a leasing company in Jun-01. It was converted to a full freighter and leased to Air Atlanta Icelandic in Dec-01 as TF-ATX. It was sub-leased to and operated for Malaysian Airlines Cargo (MASkargo) in Jul-03 until approximately Apr-09 when it was returned to Air Atlanta and to the lessor. It was stored at Kuala Lumpur (SZB). In Sep-09 it was leased to MK Airlines as G-MKLA. It only briefly served with MK Airlines and ferried to Bristol-Filton (FZO) in Nov-09 for maintenance. MK Airlines were suffering from financial problems and were unable to find the funds to release the aircraft so it remained stored at Briston-Filton until it was returned to the lessor in Mar-10. MK Airlines ceased operations in Apr-10. The aircraft was again leased to Air Atlanta Icelandic in Sep-10, again as TF-ATX and continued in service until it was retired in Oct-12 and stored at Marana, AZ, USA. It was registered N216TX by the lessor in Feb-13 but remains stored at Marana (as of Dec-13) and is unlikely to fly again.
