Description

Attachés au passé ferroviaire de leur ville, les Saintais parlent toujours des « ateliers de maintenance »... Début 2008, l'Établissement industriel d'entretien du matériel de la SNCF a pris le nom de « Technicentre de maintenance ».

Y travaillent 430 agents de la SNCF, tous chargés de l'entretien et de la réfection de rames de trains express régionaux (TER), de wagons de nuit des lignes Corail ou de plateformes de transports de voitures.
