Description
English:
Postal Palace is officially Szeged 1 Post Office. Note in fact south part (Deák Ferenc Street side) of Szeged 1 Post Office are two different building. The oldest part planned by Károly Meixner built in Renaissance Revival in between 1881-1883, extended with storey in 1930 and in 1946. There are corner avant corps. In December 1976, it expanded into two buildings behind it. The neighbouring building on Vár Street (Deák Ferenc Street corner) housed parcel delivery and parcel delivery, while on Híd Street (Deák Ferenc Street corner) official delivery and branch tenants were accommodated. Two bronze? postal horns ' Szeged 1 Post Office' sign can be see at Hild Street corner. - 1 Széchenyi Square= 6 (4-6) Vár Street=Híd Street, Belváros (Inner City) neighborough, Szeged, Csongrád-Csanád County, Hungary.
Magyar:
Hivatalos név 'Szeged 1-es Posta' (része). Becenév illetve épületrésze a: Postapalota. Neoreneszánsz, 1883. Terv: Meixner Károly. Lederer Ede építésvezető. Alapkő: 1881. - Az épület északi sarkánál 'Védett városkép' c. műemléktábla van. A tér a XVIII. század során a vár nyugati szomszédságában Nagypiac néven alakult ki. Befásítását a várparancsnokság a szabd kilővés érdekében tilalmazta. Nagyszabású épületekkel a XIX. században gyarapodik. A Hídutca felőli saroknál van az Szeged 1-es sz. Posta cégére/Postakürt 2db 5m magasan, a Posta emblémája 1949 és 1989 között volt hasonló - Belső dísze volt a Kratzmann-féle a 7 méter magas és 4 méter széles üvegfestmény, középen a magyar címerrel s alatta posta és távírói jelvényekkel. Az épületet emeletráépítéssel két részletben bővítették, 1930-ban és 1946-ban. Tér felőli főhomlokzata 1+3+K+3+1, a Vár utcai 1+K+6+1 tengely, evvel egyező, de kapu nélküli a Híd utcai, sarok-rizalitokkal. A posta 1976 decemberében a mögötte lévő két épületbe terjeszkedett. A Vár utcai szomszéd épületben a csomagföladás és csomagkézbesítés, a Híd utcaiban a hivatali kézbesítés és a fiókbérlők kaptak helyet. - része 'Polgárházak' ! Híd u. mindkét oldala nevű összevont városképi védelem együttesnek, azonosító: 3446, törzsszám: 2665 része a 'Városképi védelem Vár u. mindkét oldala: 1 -7., 2-6.' azonosító: 3517, törzsszám: 2710 ÉS része a 'Szeged történeti belvárosa' védett együttesnek azonosító: 11378, törzsszám: 11286 - Szeged, Belváros, Széchenyi tér 1 = Vár utca = Híd utca (=Deák Ferenc utca 21)
