Ελληνικά: Τελωνείο Ερμούπολης Το Τελωνείο της Ερμούπολης αποτελούσε μια από τις κυριότερες προσόδους του νεότερου Ελληνικού κράτους και στην Ερμούπολη τον σημαντικότερο ναυτιλιακό κόμβο της Μεσόγειου αποτελούσε αναμφίβολα μια πλούσια, αστείρευτη πηγή για τον ισχνό προϋπολογισμό μιας Ελλάδας ρημαγμένης από την επανάσταση και την επί αιώνες καταστρατήγηση από τους κατακτητές του οποιουδήποτε δημοσίου κέρδους και πλούτου της.
