English: An image to show similarity bettween Syrian civil war and Battle of Karbala , based on what Muhammad Hasan al-Amin (Q12240387) said "I do not see the oppression of the Syrian people, under the authoritarian, repressive, intelligence regime, and what is happening in Syria, except as a picture of the renewal of [battle of] Karbala in which the Shiites, of course, align themselves with the oppressed, the Syrian people, against the oppressor, which is the regime." source In this Comparative history view by Shia Islam, Ba'athists represents Umayyids, and Syrian civilians are in place of Imam Hussein and his family at 680 Battle of Karbala.
