Deutsch: Vorderseite: Viergespann (quadriga) mit Wagenlenker im Schritt nach r., oben fliegt Nike das Gespann bekränzend nach r., im Abschnitt ein Löwe nach r.

Rückseite: ΣVR-ΑΚ-ΟΣ-ΙOΝ [R statt P]. Kopf der Arethusa mit Lorbeerkranz im Haar, Ohrring und Halskette nach r. umgeben von vier Delphinen und Kreislinie.

Kommentar: Die Münze zeigt auf Vs. und Rs. dieselben Typen wie das erste Dekadrachmon von Syrakus, das sogenannte Demareteion. Boehringer (1929) datierte das Dekadrachmon und die etwa gleichzeitigen Tetradrachmen in das Jahr 480/479 v. Chr., heute geht man von einer etwas späteren Datierung in die 460er Jahre aus.
