English: Sicilia, Syracusae. Dionysios I. 405-367 BC.
BC. AR Tetradrachm (17.10 gm). Struck circa 405 BC. Obverse die signed by Kimon.
Bust of Arethusa facing slightly left, hair flowing loosely, dolphins swimming among loose hairs left and right; AREΘOΣA above beaded border; [ΚΙΜΩΝ] on ampyx, small ΣΩ hidden in hairs left
Arethusa driving galloping quadriga left, holding reins; Nike walking above and crowning Arethusa, fallen meta (turning-post) below horses' hooves, grain ear in exergue.
Near VF, well centered, smooth flan.
Italiano: Sicilia, Syracusae. Dionisio I. 405-367 a.C.

Busto di Aretusa di faccia, leggermente girato a sinistra, capelli sciolti, delfini che nuotano tra i capelli; AREΘOΣA in giro; [ΚΙΜΩΝ] sull'ampyx, piccolo ΣΩ nascosto tra i capelli sulla sinistra.
Aretusa su quadriga veloce a sinistra, tiene le redini; Nike andante sopra che incorona Aretusa, la meta caduta sotto gli zoccoli dei cavalli , spiga di grano in esergo.
