| Description |
English: Syncline near New Aberdour in Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The beds of sandstone are dipping to the left (west) and they have been gently folded to form a syncline. Erosion has levelled the outcrop, so that the curve in the beds is easily seen. The rock layers are part of the Crovie Sandstone Group deposited during the Early Devonian Epoch, between 411 and 393 million years ago. |
