Description
Deutsch: Synagogenplatz in der Heidelberger Altstadt (Baden-Württemberg, Deutschland) mit Blick auf die von der Universität Heidelberg genutzte Heuscheuer; die Synagoge stand hier seit 1714 (zunächst Umbau des Hauses "Zur blauen Lilie", Neubau 1878) und wurde am 10. November 1938 zerstört; bei der Umgestaltung des Platzes im Jahr 2001 wurden die Umrisse der Synagoge im Pflaster sichtbar gemacht, der Gedenkstein markiert die Stelle des Thora-Schreins. Die neue Synagoge in der Heidelberger Weststadt wurde 1994 eingeweiht.Bei dem Gebäude im Hintergrund handelt es sich um die Heuscheuer.
