Sydney ferry KURAMIA and freighter under the Sydney Harbour Bridge February 1932

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Sydney ferry KURAMIA and freighter under the Sydney Harbour Bridge February 1932. Construction of the bridge is almost complete, and it was opened the following month. Source page incorrectly identifies the ferry as (the similar) KAIKAI. This image from a glass plate negative produced in Feburary 1932 shows an unidentified freighter passing under the Sydney Harbour Bridge. The ship appears to be of German nationality. The ferry is heading into Lavender Bay on the Circular Quay to Milsons Point commuter run while another ferry can just be seen at the far right leaving Lavender Bay.
