English: The Late Prof S Selwyn seen using his electrically propelled wheelchair. This specially adapted chair was capable of travelling at several mph over a variety of reasonably level surfaces including pavements and short grass. He controlled the chair using a micro switch and mini-joystick (see right hand).
Note he has his "lightwriter" fixed to a table in front of him, as was his habit at that time. His briefcase is hooked over the handles behind him! |
