Summary

[edit]
Description

This looks like it's out of a sci-fi film.

It's an AVE train, which stands for Alta Velocidad Espanol ("Spanish high-speed").

"Ave" also means "bird" in Spanish, which is apt, for these trains really do fly.

They can reach speeds of up to 300 km/h, connecting the cities of this vast country.

My journey from Malaga to Barcelona took 5 hrs 45 to cover 770 kilometres.

Spain definitely has one of Europe's best train networks.
