Orientation: landward is to the left; seaward is to the right. Swash lines are sedimentary structures in sandy beach facies that consist of irregularly curvilinear, thin ridges of sediment, sometimes mixed with organic debris, and often slightly coarser-grained than surrounding sediments. The lines mark the maximum landward extent of water from individual waves washing ashore. Locality: marine shoreline at Sand Beach, Mt.
