須崎橋のあゆみ：須崎橋（旧洲崎橋）は1911年（明治44年）に市内電車のために架けられた。その後、1929年（昭和4年）には電車軌道の両側に車道が設置された橋となった。電車軌道は1979年（昭和54年）に廃止された。1997年（平成9年）に須崎橋は架けかえられ旧洲崎橋は取壊されたが、その親柱（御影石造り）をここに保存している。
