This is based on a map from The Astrophysical Journal, 899:153 (12pp) (Mainak Mukhopadhyay, Cecilia Lunardini, F. X. Timmes, Kai Zuber), https://doi.org/10.3847/1538-4357/ab99a6, under the CC BY 4.0 license.

Betelgeuse's mass and distance, and Antares' distance, updated to reflect newer data from Neuhäuser et al 2022 (https://doi.org/10.1093%2Fmnras%2Fstac1969)

VV Cephei's mass and distance updated to reflect more accurate data from Bauer et al 2008 (https://doi.org/10.1088%2F0004-6256%2F136%2F3%2F1312) and Bauer et al 2004 (https://ui.adsabs.harvard.edu/abs/2004ASPC..318..222B).

Note that their distances in the images have not been changed.
