Summary
[edit]DescriptionSuperconducting HGMS ACMI-1998.jpg |
English: High-gradient magnetic separator with superconducting magnet from Advanced Cryo Magnetics, Inc. It is a cyclic kaolin separator with magnetic field switch-off during matrix flushing, which was put into operation in ZKZ Kaznejov (in former Czechoslovakia) in 1998 under the designation ACMI 60/401 3T. It has an input power of 10 kW necessary for the liquefaction of the evaporated He. The 3 T superconducting magnet is inside the enclosure on the right, the vessel in the middle of the picture is a vacuum insulated liquid helium reservoir with radiation shields cooled by liquid nitrogen, in the foreground is the helium liquefier. |
