English: USS BLUE RIDGE AT SEA -- A French Army H-3 Puma lands on the flight deck of the 7th Fleet command ship USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19) March 29 during an interoperability training session designed to test joint forces landing compatibility while at sea.
Blue Ridge and the 7th Fleeet staff visited Noumea, New Caledonia March 27-29. While there, 7th Fleet commander Vice Adm. James Metzger and the 7th Fleet staff conducted a series of meetings with New Caledonian French Armed Forces leadership to discuss issues of common concern and to identify cross-training opportunities. |
