| Description |
English: Sunrise on Slioch. This was the view from Slioch at 4-50am on 18/5/99 with the sun rising over the Fisherfield Forest and Dundonnell Forest Hills in still calm conditions. The hills were shaded black for about ten minutes before the effect had gone and the light and landscape warmed up. The silhouetted hill in the foreground is Meall Daimh with the calm waters of Lochan Fada either side. The small sheet of water to the right is Loch Meallan an Fhudair with Loch a Bhraoin in the distance. I had ascended Slioch the previous afternoon to complete a Munro round and enjoyed a wonderful sunset and sunrise on the mountain in complete isolation. |
