Description

This is Mount Idaho from Merriam Lake. Such a perfect lake and perfect place. To get here it was quite a hike. It started 2 hrs. before sunrise, I walked through a long-forested valley following a stream. The last half mile, the trail climbed a significant amount and took me over the lip of a saddle into this lake. I arrived only a little before sunrise so I had to scramble to find just the right spot for my sunrise shot. This was not my first shot of the morning, but it was my favorite.
