Summary
[edit]DescriptionSunken Parterre Garden at Hanbury Hall - geograph.org.uk - 500238.jpg |
English: Sunken Parterre Garden at Hanbury Hall The formal gardens at Hanbury were originally designed by George London around 1700. The Dutch style parterre had reverted to a lawn until the NT started to restore it in 1993 using old paintings and plans as a guide. Today it is back to its former glory having matured beautifully in the past few years. To the left NT staff are busily trimming the box hedges. |
