Summary
[edit]| Description |
English: Sundial and Stocks at the junction of Water Street and Green Lane, Thornton, Merseyside. It is claimed that the sundial was put here before 1720. It stands on the base of a former preaching cross that may have been 13th-century. The stocks were here by 1725 and the present set was installed in 1791.
