| Description |
English: A half open top promotional bus (reg. B7 CCE) being used by the Scottish Sun newspaper as part of their 2008 nationwide "It's Your Party" campaign to raise the profile/popularity of St Andrew's Day (30 November), assisted by Miss Scotland 2008 Stephanie Willemse and lottery host Angus Purden. It's seen here in the Co-op car park in Portree. Scottish music was blaring from speakers, while young ladies were dishing out goody bags to the supermarket customers. The 'See you Jimmy' hat on the top of the bus was apparently a key branding element of the campaign. The bus itself is a 1984 ECW bodied dual-doored Leyland Olympian that was new to Lothian Regional Transport as their No. 765 (reg. B765 GSC), being sold in 2002. |
