English: Summit rocks, Sail Gharb. Approaching the summit from the SW ridge. Look closely and you can see the lower rocks are (mostly) reddish (Torridonian Sandstone), whereas the final few metres are gray (Cambrian Quarzite). Stepping from one to another, you cross a geological discontinuity of 200 million years. |
