This is the Intercolonial Railway, ThePeoples Railway, one of the most substantially constructed and bestequipped lines in the world. It runs through hundreds of miles of justsuch a country as has been mentioned. Pleasure and sport may be en-joyed in numberless places and yet the traveller will be within the reachof daily mails and the telegraph, and may live like a prince at a very mod-erate outlay.
