A glimpse of Yosemite Valley Main entrance to Yosemite National Park SAN DIEGO, the birthplace of California, is particularly rich in interest. Theold mission—first erected on the west coast; hundred-year-old palms; the padres irrigationdam; Presidio hill, and such romantic reminders as Romonas Marriage Place, are butexamples of what has caused San Diego to be called the Mecca for tourists.
