journer can find many social advantages. Thetown is most fortunate in possessing the beautiful Scoville Library, one of the finest buildings of its kind in the State. In the library, over the fireplace, is laid a stone taken from the Salisbury Cathedral,England, while from the granite tower a four dial clock tells thetime of day. A large room in this building has been set apart forplays and informal dances, which are a feature of summer life inthis town. A short walk will bring the sojourner to the base of Bear moun-tain, the highest point of land in Connecticut.
