English: "Summary of the different populations of ARC neurons directly controlling energy homeostasis. (a) Lepr-expressing POMC neurons do not mediate the direct effects of leptin on energy balance. (b) Other subpopulations of POMC neurons, such as those expressing 5-HT(2C) and GLP1R control energy homeostasis. (c) Unidentified Lepr-expressing GABAergic neurons are suggested to be the major mediators of the effects of leptin on energy balance.
