Description
日本語: 波戸（はと）の住吉神社と午砲（ごほう）場跡（福岡市中央区港三丁目3番13号）。現地説明板の概略：「荒戸山の下にある港の波戸は、1625年（寛永2年）2代藩主黒田忠之が船入（ふないれ）を造ったのが始まりで、何度か行われた堤防の改修や増築を経て、1801年（享和元年）に完成した。翌1802年10月5日に住吉神社が勧請された。また、ここには、時間厳守の啓発のために、正午の時報『ドン』に使う午砲場があった時期があり、1898年（明治31年）の須崎から西公園へ移された後に、波止場の突端「住吉橋」の後ろに移され、1931年（昭和6年）まで使われた。」。
