Description
Español: SUMIDERO O MOULINS.

El agua fundida que fluye por encima del glaciar se convierte en un río, forma meandros, al encontrar una imperfección la profundiza y forma un sumidero de forma circular llamado también “moulins”. Con el tiempo se agrandan y profundizan aún más por la acción del agua que se escurre y se interna por estos conductos hacia la base del glaciar.

Al abrirse el agua entre la estructura plástica del hielo, el torrente queda capturado en el interior del glaciar, el aguan va trazando su curso, a través de miles de metros, viajando por un laberinto helado e indescifrable, hasta encontrar la salida. Así se forman os sistemas de drenaje, glaciares conformados por cuevas, pozos, simas glaciares, abismos, sumideros o “moulins”.
