Sugarcane harvesting in the Philippines is mostly done by hand, with workers cutting the cane stalks at the base and then loading them into trucks for delivery to a processing plant. To ensure high sugarcane quality, farmers commonly use insecticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to control pests and diseases, as well as to increase yields. Harvesting usually takes place during the dry season, and sugarcane is harvested at the optimal stage of maturity. Tagalog: Ang pag-aani ng tubó sa bayan ng Batad[2], Iloilo, Pilipinas. Ang pag-aani ng tubó sa Pilipinas ay karaniwang ginagawa sa pamamagitan ng kamay, kung saan pinuputol ng mga manggagawa ang mga tangkay ng tubó sa punong ibaba at pagkatapos ay isinasakay ang mga ito sa mga trak para ihatid sa isang planta ng pagpoproseso. Upang matiyak ang mataas na kalidad ng tubó, ang mga magsasaka ay karaniwang gumagamit ng mga pamatay-insekto, pamatay ng damo, at mga pataba upang makontrol ang mga peste at sakit, gayundin upang madagdagan ang mga ani. Karaniwang sinasagawa ang pag-aani sa panahon ng tagtuyot, at ang tubó ay inaani sa pinakamainam na yugto ng kapanahunan. |
