| Description |
English: Sugar beet crop on its way to Cantley. Lorries from all over Norfolk are heading in the direction of Cantley at this time of the year, delivering sugar beet crops to the British Sugar Factory for further processing > 627893 - 690491. It happens that a narrow road gets blocked by the waiting lorry whilst being loaded, as depicted here. A front loader is continuously filling the large red machine with sugar beet from the heap deposited at the field's edge; after removing the adhering soil by rotating in a drum the sugar beet are fed onto the conveyor belt at front, which transports them onto the lorry. This photo was taken on Tucks Road > 458372 near Lyngate. |
