Summary
[edit]DescriptionSuffolk coast highlighted by sunset - geograph.org.uk - 1088221.jpg |
English: Suffolk coast highlighted by sunset A flight from Norway reveals the waterways of the Suffolk coast. Most obvious in the centre is the river Alde, flowing down to the coast, before turning sharply south past Orford, joining the Ore, before flowing into the North Sea at Shingle Street. Then the Deben flows out between Bawdsey and Old Felixstowe, and then on the other side of Felixstowe the junction of the Orwell and Stour can be seen before the Essex coast vanishes in cloud.
There appears to be a body of water on the right of the picture - could this be Thorpeness Meare? What is causing the strange dark vertical clouds in the Leiston area? |
