Description

c/n 03 Built 1970 This is the third prototype Gazelle and originally flew with the French test registration ‘F-ZWRI’. She was initially used for evaluation by the Army Air Corps before being used for ground instruction by the Electrical Research Association at Leatherhead. She returned to Farnborough in February 1979 and was present during the 1980 Farnborough Airshow and then preserved. In December 1988 she She arrived at Newark in April 1999. She was previously on display at the North East Air Museum in Usworth,Sunderland where she arrived in December 1988. On display in Hangar 1, Newark Air Museum Winthorpe, Nottinghamshire, UK
