| Description |
English: Common name "Cow Kick Triggerplant"
It is found in many locations of one or two plants, never lots. The insects like it and land on the bottom petals to drink the nectar from the centre of the plant. They are often patted on their thorax by the plant with its "trigger" or column. After a feed of nectar or pollen, they fly to another plant where the process is repeated, thus aiding in pollination. The bee fly Aleucosia tridentata moved sideways and down the petal to enable it to take pollen from the column using its proboscis. This was an ornate flower.
