| Description |
English: Stryd Fawr - The High Street This is the main street of the walled town and was, until the early 20th century, the commercial hub of Caernarfon. Although there are still a number of businesses close to the East Gate, many of the former shops are derelict or have been converted into offices. The absence of pedestrians in this photo, taken at 11.30hrs on a Monday morning, gives an indication of the low commercial importance of the street. |
